Jada Pinkett Smith Jessica, November 14, 2023November 14, 2023 Jada Koren Pinkett-Smith, who was born on September 18th, 1971, is famous in the film (producer, actor and director), music (singer-songwriter) and business industry. However, her efforts are not limited to these areas, as she is also a philanthropist. She and her husband, Will Smith (actor and singer-songwriter), formed the Will and Jada Smith Family Foundation. Based in Baltimore, Maryland, Jada and Will’s Foundation supports urban inner-city youth. It was given the David Angell Humanitarian Award by the ASA (American Screenwriters Association) in 2006 in recognition of the foundation’s projects that focus on education, violence prevention and family wellbeing. In December 2006, Jada Pinkett-Smith gave $1 million dollars to the Baltimore School for the Arts in honor of the famous late rapper Tupac Shakur, who used to be her classmate and good friend in her school days. In 2007, the Will and Jada Smith Foundation, in cooperation with Maybelline and the Lupus Foundation of America (LFA), held the initial “Butterflies Over Hollywood” at the El Rey Theatre, LA in support of Smith’s aunt who was diagnosed with the lupus disease. There were more than 300 guests and celebrities who showed up to help raise funds for professional educational programs and the LFA.
