Eric Obrokta and the Growth of NPSG Global

Jessica, August 1, 2026October 1, 2026

Long before warehouse automation became a central topic in modern logistics, Eric Obrokta was developing experience in the day-to-day realities of managing commercial facilities and coordinating complex operations. That early exposure to property management, contractors, vendors, clients, and large physical spaces would eventually become part of the foundation for a career focused on warehouse infrastructure and supply chain services.

Today, Obrokta is President and Co-Founder of NPSG Global, an organization serving companies that build, automate, expand, and modernize warehouse and fulfillment operations. He co-founded the business in 2012 with William “Tad” Selby, who serves as the company’s CEO. Over the years that followed, the two executives helped develop NPSG Global from an installation-focused operation into a company with a much wider role in warehouse automation and material handling projects.

Obrokta’s responsibilities as President extend across the operational and strategic sides of the organization. His leadership has involved helping establish the processes, relationships, personnel, and service capabilities necessary for NPSG Global to undertake increasingly complicated projects. As the company has expanded, he has remained closely connected to the practical requirements of delivering work for customers operating large distribution and fulfillment facilities.

The environment surrounding those customers has changed dramatically since NPSG Global was established. Warehouses that were once dominated by conventional storage racks, forklifts, and manual processes increasingly incorporate interconnected automation technologies. Modern facilities may combine conveyor and sortation systems, robotics, automated storage technologies, software, controls, and specialized material handling equipment into a single operation.

Implementing those systems presents a different challenge from simply purchasing the technology. Equipment must be installed, coordinated, tested, commissioned, maintained, and incorporated into a facility that may be operating under demanding production schedules. The ability to manage that implementation process has become an important part of the warehouse automation industry.

NPSG Global developed its business around this increasingly complex environment. While installation remains an important component of its work, the company’s capabilities have grown to encompass services associated with design and engineering, systems integration, fabrication, project management, commissioning, maintenance, equipment relocation, and workforce support.

For Eric Obrokta, the expansion represented an opportunity to build an organization capable of remaining involved across more stages of a customer’s project. Instead of viewing an automated warehouse as a collection of individual pieces of equipment, the broader approach considers how infrastructure, technology, labor, scheduling, and ongoing support must work together.

This operational perspective can be traced to Obrokta’s earlier professional experience. Before establishing NPSG Global, he worked in commercial property management, including several years as a Property Manager with Seefried Properties. He held that position from December 2003 through May 2007.

Property management placed Obrokta in an environment where successful outcomes depended heavily on coordination. Facilities had to be maintained, vendors managed, projects organized, and client expectations addressed. Problems often required immediate practical solutions rather than theoretical ones. Those experiences provided lessons that could later be applied to industrial projects where timing, communication, accountability, and execution are equally important.

His eventual move into warehouse and material handling services coincided with significant changes in retail and distribution. E-commerce growth placed new pressure on fulfillment networks as customers became accustomed to wider product selections and increasingly rapid delivery. Companies responded by investing heavily in distribution infrastructure and technologies capable of processing larger numbers of orders.

Automation became one answer to that challenge.

The transition also created opportunities for businesses capable of turning increasingly sophisticated warehouse designs into functioning facilities. Technology providers could manufacture advanced systems, but large deployments still required skilled teams capable of assembling, integrating, modifying, and supporting those systems in the field.

Under Obrokta and the broader leadership team, NPSG Global expanded within this part of the supply chain ecosystem. Its customers and partners operate in industries where the performance of a distribution facility can directly affect inventory movement, order processing, and customer service. As a result, successful project delivery depends on detailed planning and consistent execution.

Obrokta has placed considerable importance on relationships as part of that process. Major infrastructure projects can bring together numerous organizations, from equipment manufacturers and technology providers to contractors, engineers, facility operators, and specialized installation teams. Maintaining productive partnerships across those groups can be just as important as the physical work occurring inside the warehouse.

NPSG Global’s geographic reach has also grown during Obrokta’s tenure. In addition to his responsibilities as President, he has participated in leadership efforts associated with the company’s international development. The expansion of operations beyond a single domestic market introduced another level of complexity as the organization worked to deliver services across different regions while maintaining consistent expectations for project execution.

Building that type of organization requires scalable operating practices. Processes that work for a smaller company or a limited number of projects must evolve when teams are simultaneously supporting customers across numerous facilities and geographic markets. Obrokta’s executive responsibilities have included helping the company navigate that transition while continuing to develop its workforce and operational capabilities.

His route into executive leadership was not based on a conventional logistics-focused academic path. Obrokta attended Shepherd University and later continued his education at Old Dominion University, where he pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and biological sciences.

His professional direction ultimately moved away from the sciences and toward commercial facilities, industrial services, and eventually warehouse automation. That combination of experiences has given him a career shaped more by operational progression than by a single predetermined path.

Since co-founding NPSG Global, Eric Obrokta has spent more than a decade working through a particularly transformative period for the logistics industry. Automation technologies have advanced, distribution networks have expanded, and the expectations placed on fulfillment operations have continued to rise. Warehouses themselves have increasingly become sophisticated technology environments rather than simply buildings used for storage.

Despite that technological progression, the human and operational elements of implementation remain significant. Automated equipment still has to be installed correctly. Projects still require coordination. Schedules have to be maintained. Unexpected problems must be addressed. Customers need communication and support before, during, and after implementation.

That intersection between sophisticated technology and practical execution has remained central to Obrokta’s work.

As President of NPSG Global, Eric Obrokta continues to participate in the company’s strategic development while maintaining an emphasis on the operational fundamentals required to deliver complex warehouse projects. His professional history connects commercial property management, industrial services, organizational growth, and international warehouse automation within a career spanning more than two decades.

With supply chains continuing to evolve, the challenge facing warehouse operators is no longer simply whether to adopt automation. Increasingly, the question is how to implement, maintain, expand, and adapt those technologies without disrupting the operations they are intended to improve. Eric Obrokta’s work at NPSG Global places him directly within that ongoing transformation, helping build the organization and capabilities required to support the increasingly automated infrastructure behind modern commerce.
